Säbu produced packing boxes for high-quality industrial goods, sent at that time all over the world. The continuous development from a modest sawmill to a modern industrial plant took its beginning in the hard years of the post-war period.
the first production facility was built and started with the production of prefabricated wooden buildings.The construction of accommodation buildings for foreign workers and workers' huts for construction sites in an economically progressive country brought Säbu full orderbooks.
The product range was extended by a further product, the site trailer.
The enormous demand for the original Säbu site trailer made an increase in capacity necessary. An additional production place with a most modern painting plant was set up.
Over the years, the wooden body of the site car turned into steel constructions in skeleton style. From 1972 Säbu manufactured the Iso-Container. A real competitor for the site car and the workers' hut became the production of stackable and compatible room cells for accommodations and construction sites.
With the development of the patented Fladafi-material container, Säbu set new standards in the container production.
Soon any construction site was unthinkable without the cranable material container and quality and the accessory programme were unbeatable.
Säbu built up a new production hall once more and enlarged the programme of Fladafi accommodation containers.The demand in the domestic market and abroad secured the continuous increase of the enterprise.
Be side the prefabricated wooden buildings for industrial und municipal use Säbu set new scales also in the area of producing container modules. The original single container loses significance whereas the demand on container combinations increased. The industry was looking for one or multi-storeyed office complexes, provisional arrangements or durable solutions, since prefabricated modular buildings meet their requirements fast and variably. This development required the new building of the biggest production hall in Morsbach.
The company was extended by a further business in Erblingen and founded the company Optirent Mobilraum renting service. As of now this new young enterprise secured the provision of mobile room units for multiple use in industry, trade and communes for the demanded periods.
Due to the reunion of the Federal Republic of Germany the company Säbu Gransee GmbH was set up in Brandenburg . In this new production center, that of course was equipped with latest technology, exclusively steel frame room modules are manufactured with the know how and the experience of Säbu Morsbach.
The modular building of the nineties changed its face. Nothing reminded of the traditional container.The buildings got a new outfit, modern architecture, all current static requirements and the multi-storeyed style made the prefabricated module buildings an alternative for the massif constructions.
The Säbu Gransee GmbH completed its product line with the errection of a second production hall for prefabricated wooden buildings.
The enterprise was certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001.
A new administrative building is built in Morsbach.
